Customer relationship management maturity model (CRM3): A model for stepwise implementation

    Get PDF
Being multifaceted process, implementing customer relationship management (CRM) project has a high risk and uncertainty that must be reduced using planning to get the desirable benefits. As a matter of fact, existing and optimal position must be determined to reduce the gap between them via suitable investment. To identify this gap as well as the way to higher and optimal condition, maturity model can be used. Relying on extended literature, the present paper reviews the existing models and then develops a model for measuring CRM maturity based on CRM critical success factors, CMMI levels and RADAR logic

An Integrative Framework For E-Business Information System Development

    Get PDF
The advent of networked economy calls for new understanding of business, and it is evidenced by the visible trend of traditional businesses either migrating to e-business or expanding to embrace electronic commerce. The development of new business models supported by information technology has become an important issue in the business community. This paper first describes different kinds of information systems and their criteria, e-business information system framework and then map IS criteria into the EBIS criteria to extend the former EBIS framework and to reach an integrative framework which fills the gap between IS categories and EBIS. The mapping process was done by academics and managers of top 50 firms in Iran. Consequently the paper discusses the roadmap guiding information system planners and designers

Topic Modeling and Classification of Cyberspace Papers Using Text Mining

    Get PDF
The global cyberspace networks provide individuals with platforms to can interact, exchange ideas, share information, provide social support, conduct business, create artistic media, play games, engage in political discussions, and many more. The term cyberspace has become a conventional means to describe anything associated with the Internet and the diverse Internet culture. In fact, cyberspace is an umbrella term that covers all issues occurring through the interaction of information systems and humans over these networks. Deep evaluation of the scientific articles on the cyberspace domain provides concentrated knowledge and insights about major trends of the field. Text mining tools and techniques enable the practitioners and scholars to discover significant trends in a large set of internationally validated papers. This study utilizes text mining algorithms to extract, validate, and analyze 1860 scientific articles on the cyberspace domain and provides insight over the future scientific directions or cyberspace studies

Customer Behaviour Forecasting in FMCG Retail Industry; Golpakhsh Avval Co. Case Study

    Get PDF
Objective: Providing that data mining has been an effective solution of improving the efficiency and the effectiveness of the retail industry, this industry has been the subject of data mining science due to the nature of its data. In this study, the prediction of customer behavior in the retail industry of Fast Moving Consumer Goods is aimed at increasing the quantity and quality of sales in the study of Golpakhsh Avval Co. Methods: The present study is applied in terms of purpose, using data survey to collect data. The research is based on the CRISP-DM process, which uses the RFMCL clustering model, regression classification and regression techniques as well. Eventually, a collaborative recommendation method has been applied for recommendation. Results: The result is a forecasting model recommended to the best customers goods that they have not bought on a particular date and to a certain amount, so that, the order-based sale is changed to hot sale method. The final solution involves three sub models of customer clustering, sale forecasting and a recommendation system. The five variables model –with MSE/Range accuracy of 2.24% – is solved for recommendation of sales amount. Conclusion: By implementing the developed recommender system in Golpakhsh Avval Co., the proactive production master plan would be possible to execute. In addition, the marketing approach could be transformed from visiting sales to hot sales in the future which provides considerable savings in shipping and personnel costs

A comparison of artificial intelligence algorithms in diagnosing and predicting gastric cancer: a review study

    Get PDF
Today, artificial intelligence is considered a powerful tool that can help physicians identify and diagnose and predict diseases. Gastric cancer has been the fourth most common malignancy and the second leading cause of cancer mortality in the world. Thus, timely diagnosis of this type of cancer could effectively control it. This paper compares AI (artificial intelligence) algorithms in diagnosing and predicting gastric cancer based on types of AI algorithms, sample size, accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity.  This narrative-review paper aims to explore AI algorithms in diagnosing and predicting gastric cancer. To achieve this goal, we reviewed English articles published between 2011 and 2021 in PubMed and Science direct databases. According to the reviews conducted on the published papers, the endoscopic method has been the most used method to collect and incorporate samples into designed models. Also, the SVM (support vector machine), convolutional neural network (CNN), and deep-type CNN have been used the most; therefore, we propose the usage of these algorithms in medical subjects, especially in gastric cancer

The effect of humility on emotional and social competencies: The mediating role of judgment

    No full text
Leadership competencies are important contributing factors of successful performance among leaders. As theory suggests, humility can have a significant effect on building emotional and social competencies. In this study, we examine the effect of humility on competencies both directly and indirectly, through its effect on judgment. We designed and conducted a self-reported survey to measure humility, judgment, and emotional and social competencies among 165 management students. The results of our study showed that humility had a significant positive effect on emotional and social competencies, including self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management. In addition, judgment had a significant mediating role on the relationship between humility and competencies. These results provide support for the important role of humility on personal learning and development as was previously discussed in the literature. Considering its important role, strategies have been recommended in the discussion section to improve humility both at personal and organizational levels

Financial Performance Prediction System in Industrial Companies through Data Mining Algorithms

    No full text
With the emergence of new businesses leading to the complicated and changing business environments, industrial managers and investors need tools and mechanisms to acquire a more clarified view of their business in different financial aspects in the future. The financial status of industrial firms has always had a significant analytical role and the evaluation of profitability has been conducted through the analysis of financial indicators that appear as key performance measures. In this regard, financial statements provides the stakeholders with accurate organizational status in a specific period of time. In the current research, the researchers have attempted to utilize the financial ratios as well as data mining algorithms so as to design a system that accurately predicts the net profit based on the previous performance of firms and accordingly, providing an appropriate performance analysis. The designed neural network model predicts the profit through the detection of relationships among financial ratios and previous profitability of the industrial firm

Data Scientists’ Skills in Detecting Archetypes in Iran

    No full text
The use of data-driven decision making and data scientists is on the rise in Iran as companies have rapidly been focusing on gathering data and analyzing it to guide corporate decisions. In order to facilitate the process and understand the nature and characteristics of this transformation, the current study intends to learn about data scientists’ skills and archetypes in Iran. Detecting skills archetypes has been done via analyzing the skills of data scientists which were self-expressed through an online survey. The results revealed that there are three archetypes of data scientists including high level data scientists, low level data scientists and software developers. The archetypal patterns are based on levels of data scientists’ skills rather than the type of dominant skills they possess which was the most frequent pattern in previous studies
